Dix & Co Ltd, Shelton Brewery, Stoke-on-Trent
The Shelton Brewery was established around 1823 by William Malkin. Alexander Mills Dix purchased the brewery and took over its operation from 1854
Dix's Brewery became a Limited Company in 1900, and by 1921 the business, including all of its tied houses had been sold to Parkers Burslem Brewery. It seems that Parkers continued to brew at the Shelton site until 1933, after which the brewery was closed. Some of the brewery buildings, including part of its tall chimney still survive
